The walls of Old Quebec have today accumulated over 400 years of history and culture. This UNESCO World Heritage treasure is the cradle of French civilization in North America; the architecture, food and customs here are all influenced by European culture. In just a few hours, you can visit the battlefield that changed the world, overlook the cobblestone streets and the St. Lawrence River, and admire the work of several generations of great local artists.
The Old City of Quebec is very suitable for a walking exploration. Every corner, stairwell, doorway and alley hides charming features and unique landscapes. Remember to wear a pair of suitable walking shoes!
